Much like the Juniors of today they were chosen from the back dancers of Four Leaves. They debuted in 1970, but didn't last long, but they got to release some singles and a couple of albums and also a film.

Every time a new bunch of kids gets to debut there are always the detractors saying, "they are getting younger", but that is simply not true. Johnny's have always promoted young boys.
The leader of The Good-Bye, Yasuhisa Soga, actually debuted as early as 1975, with the duo Little Gang, when he was twelve.

I wouldn't hesitate to say that Go Hiromi is the most accomplished of all the talents produced by Johnny. He speaks (more or less) fluent English, starred in an American released movie, was basically the face of male idols in the 70s, and is still active at 51 years old.
